The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released the withheld recommendations for the post of Accounts Assistant (Finance Department, UT Cadre) advertised under Notification No. 04 of 2020, Item No. 106. This decision was made following the clearance of deficiencies by the concerned candidates, as discussed in the 293rd Board Meeting.
As per the previous notification (No. 15-Selection of 2024, dated 07.03.2024), the final selection list was forwarded to the respective department for further action. However, recommendations for three candidates were initially withheld due to pending documentation or discrepancies. After a thorough review, the Board has now approved their inclusion, allowing them to proceed with the appointment process.
Conditions for Selection and Verification
The release of these recommendations is subject to various terms and conditions, including:
- Legal Proceedings: The selection remains contingent upon any ongoing writ petitions or court orders. Any future legal disputes related to these appointments may impact the status of the selected candidates.
- Verification of Documents: While JKSSB has verified the possession of category and degree certificates, the responsibility for final verification, including the authenticity of documents and institution recognition, lies with the appointing authority.
- False Information and Consequences: If, at any stage, it is found that a candidate has provided false information or forged documents, their selection will be canceled immediately. Additionally, legal action may be initiated against such individuals.

According to Government Order No. 1003-JK(GAD) of 2021, dated 27.09.2021, candidates whose recommendations have been released must submit their Personal Verification Roll (PVR) to the appointing authority within 21 days. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of their appointment.
